Road, a hidden gem that provides authentic Japanese style Kappou(割烹), where diners can savor the sounds and smells of the seasonal while viewing the chef’s professional knife skills over the counter, a memorable feast for all the senses.
Single-handedly helmed by Chef Ren who utilizes the richness of Taiwan’s local ingredients yet unique Kappou-inspired cuisine. Mastery in grilling by Binchōtan(white charcoal)and exquisitely bring out the umami flavors with a pinch of salt.
Kappo is a multi-course meal that is left entirely up to the chef. The chef Ren presents a series of plates, beginning with the lightest fare and proceeding to the heaviest dishes. The phrase is not exclusive to raw fish with rice but also incorporate grilling, simmering and other cooking techniques. The Wagyu Beef fried rice(和牛炒飯) incredibly tender and flavorful, yet not cloyingly fatty is highly recommend.
